The Taipei Exhibition 2007
The German Cultural Center Taipei, founded in 1963, functions as local representative of Taiwan’s Goethe-Institute, therefore administrating all duties and responsibilities as any Goethe-Institute generally does, mainly concerning the mediation of German language and culture. The Cultural Center therefore divides itself into three, for the Goethe-Institute typical departments of language, culture and information.
In the manner of cultural exchange diverse programs are offered, in order to present German art and artists, often staged as conjoined projects with Taiwanese artists or persons engaged in the cultural sector. The aim is to create innovative and communicative concepts, in order to enable and support a more humane world in which cultural diversity is considered as advantage and wealth.
